Starry starry night

This is the first line you will hear if you listen to "Vincent" one of the tracks sung by Ronan Keating from his album "Songs for my Mother ."Quite aptly I received this CD as a mother's day present from A.M. Kluser and it was perfect with every track reminding me of songs and moments I have enjoyed.I must have a similar taste to that of Ronan Keating's late mother !

"Vincent" was originally sung in the early 70's by Don Mc Lean and a tribute to the masterpieces painted by Vincent van Gogh. It touched us all at the time. Talking of masterpieces I also have a jug of flowers above my desk , painted by one A.M. Kluser whilst at school , and something which is more valuable to me than any painting I could ever have bought .

I think there must be some link or near relationship to Vincent Van Gogh as our daughter, now living in Holland inspired us to visit the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam, a treasure trove of his art .
I am hoping to visit the Kunsthaus in Zürich this weekend to see the collection of some of Van Gogh's work as well as some other impressionists and well ,we will see, whether Starry starry night is there. I can't wait .Thank you Vincent, thank you Don and than you Ronan I will be seeing you next Saturday at Skydance in Zürich and I am sure you will sing something from this album but Starry starry night is my utimate wish for that evening .

I have to say this is my least liked painter. My favourite is Renoir and I have a painting of his (only a copy bought in the coffee shop in Lincoln) which has followed me around for the last 26 years. I always hang it where I can admire it most. I absolutely love it.
